Welcome to Lüdenscheid

Clubs, societies, groups, parishes of different denominations and religions as well as individuals joined forces to become the Refugee Initiative of Lüdenscheid e.V.. We are politically and ideologically neutral and stand for solidarity in our city and for giving refugees and asylum seekers a chance to settle in. We work together with the city council, the refugee information centre etc.

Our goal is to bring people together:

• those who want to help, but don't know how
• those who have ideas but need associates
• those who are willing to contribute to one of our groups
• those who want to donate in matter or money
• volunteers and fulltime workers in various areas
• ......

All of these we want to connect with each other and the people who are looking for protection and help.

Our initiative has the following structure:
We have various teams that attend to different tasks of helping refugees and asylum seekers directly.
The leaders of those teams come together as a coordination team to discuss matters, to plan and to coordinate. This team has elected three spokespersons, additionally there is a treasurer, who is looking after finances.
